Born in a Ghanaian village, I faced unimaginable hardship at a young age. At age 8, I watched both of my parents laid in state together, and taken to the cemetery side-by-side. This left me grappling with grief and a sense of hopelessness. Many wrote me off, whispering doubt in my ear. But that whisper became the fuel for my fire.
Overcoming Adversity, Fueling My Passion
Fueled by resilience, I defied the odds and graduated from a prestigious university, University of Cape Coast in Ghana – thanks to my adopted mum, Mama Stella. However, the job market proved challenging. Undeterred, I took a teaching position in a rural village school in the Central Region of Ghana.
A Turning Point: Embracing Self-Education
Website design, online advertising, social media marketing – I soaked it all in, fueled by an insatiable hunger for knowledge. This self-education became my weapon against adversity.
From Learning To Leading - Building A Rewarding Career
My newfound skills soon opened doors. I landed a role as National Project Coordinator for Proworld Ghana, leading and managing community development projects. It was a game-changer. Working with over 100 professionals and students from across the world, I discovered the profound joy of empowering others and making a positive impact. Witnessing the smiles on faces I helped transform was a reward far greater than any paycheck.
However, fate had another twist in store. The organization’s closure due to Ebola forced me back to the drawing board. Undeterred, I put my digital marketing expertise to work, building websites and crafting marketing strategies for small businesses in the Central and Western Region of Ghana.
Leadership & Transformation: A Calling Discovered
In 2017, I became the Manager of Ghana’s biggest tourist attraction visitor center. Under my leadership, the team achieved remarkable success, winning regional and national awards. I even received a promotion to the organization’s head office. Despite this external validation, a new calling tugged at my heart – a passion for people development.
Empowering Others: My True Purpose
I made a bold decision. I left the security of my role and relocated to Accra. I became very passionate about people’s transformation.
